What’s the Phil, and who is Phil?
“The Phil” honors Phil Anderson’s high standards in housing safety, functionality and sustainability, as well as his excitement about modern design and construction methods.
“STOP! Look at that RENO”… and the friendship between Phil and David Miller of MOD took off. Phil soon talked up David’s projects with City Staff and Commissioners and began pushing to modernize regulations to support housing redevelopment in the core of Manhattan.
Phil owned rental properties in Manhattan for 4+ decades. Now in his 80s, Phil continues to strive to improve older neighborhoods, advocate for quality housing, provide leadership to Riverfront development, and serve on the Manhattan Urban Area Planning Board; Historical Resources Board, and is a Riley County Historical Society Trustee. He also served on the Manhattan Housing Authority Board. Phil was the first Director of the K-State Honor and Integrity System.
Phil believed in David and admired his work. Subsequently, they became business partners. Phil’s rental properties are now in the capable hands of David Miller and the MOD team.
